Finally getting rid of the skank bathroom...and poor Conchita

So we got a laundry tub for our half bathroom, but decided we might as well rip out the wallpaper and paint the walls while we had the sink pulled out. It's not as easy as they made it look on the dvd! The people who lived here before us did a half assed job on everything, including the wallpaper. It's so ugly, and the seams were coming loose-the sink was horrible, I hated the faucet, the counter, everything.
This will be nice once it's done, but I honestly didn't think it would be this hard or take this long! I'll take some pictures later so you can see the craziness in our house right now. The laundry tub, washer, and dryer are all sitting in our dining room area. I only stripped half the wallpaper last night and it took 3 hours and the walls just look horrible. In my defense, only a tiny bit of the damage was done by me-the rest was hidden by the wallpaper! I wonder how it would look if we painted over what wallpaper was left...
Here's a picture of a similar sink-ours is better though. It has a nice sprayer, and a nice big faucet.
It's too bad that we just now have money for projects like this-I sure would have preferred to do this a few months ago! Being almost 9 months pregnant and doing this crap isn't fun. But I want it to be done, I want to have a nice bathroom finally, so it will get done! This baby is the best thing to ever happen to us! We are so motivated by his coming, we've done more in the past few months than we have in forever.

On the pregnancy side of things, woot, 35 weeks! I'm getting some kind of rash on my stomach though, red, itchy bumps in my newly developed stretchmarks =( I'm going to call the dr. and see if they have any ideas on how to make it not itch. So far, all that helps is holding ice on it. Hydrocortisone cream and lotions don't do much at all, and I basically want to scratch my skin off. Not too fun!

Diapers

Ok, here's my cloth diaper stash. I originally planned on making most of it, but I got such great deals on some that I couldn't pass them up-they were either free for shipping or needed elastic replaced, which is super easy, but most people can't/won't do.
If you have questions, let me know!

all my NB diapers. I made the 3 on the bottom of the pile on the left. The rest are a mix of Kissaluvs, prefolds and other fitteds. 3 covers, I made the paw fleece one.

wetbags (where dirty diapers go)-I made the pirate one. 3 small wool soakers (I made all but the blue one)

all my smalls. My favorite is the orange. It's an all in one with a pumpkin face on the back! I made the green and black ones on the far side. The rest are fuzzi bunz and blueberry pockets, and a bunch of bumgenius One sizes.

I made all the wipes. I need to make more but they're so boring. They're all double sided, terry on one side, fleece, flannel, knit or cotton on the other.

all the inserts and doublers for my pockets. I need more of these, but same as the wipes, they're boring to make.

More video fun

I tried making smaller videos this time, hopefully the quality isn't too bad. I need to take some pics of my cloth diaper stash-I'm pretty much done with NB and small sizes. I need to make some more wipes, nursing pads, a pack and play sheet, another wetbag or 2, and some clothes for fun. I need to make myself some clothes too-none of mine are going to fit me after I have him! The pic above is a wool soaker I made (I actually made 2 of the same pattern)

The video is kind of loud because I was sitting next to the fan, so turn down your volume.

34 week update

How far along are you? 34 weeks, 1 day

What symptoms are you experiencing? Pretty bad round ligament/pubic bone pain-but I'm pretty sure it's from being at the beach yesterday. The water was a little rougher than I expected. Lost my sunglasses too =(

How are you feeling? Enormous. Sick of hearing people bitch about gaining "too much" weight when they've gained like 19 pounds. I've gained much more than that.

Any doctor's appointments this week and how did they go? Everything went well at my appt today, except I just keep gaining weight =( The dr. doesn't seem concerned with my weight gain, in fact, he hasn't even mentioned it. I just don't know where it is coming from! Oh well, it is worth it to finally have a baby.
Next appt is the 29th, then I'll be every week from then on out.

Anything big going on in your personal life? Doing well, Drew rocks so hard. He's so helpful and sweet, I'm really grateful for him, especially when I read about how bad other husbands are being.

Food cravings? Not really.

Favorite thing about being pregnant this week? That it's getting closer to the time.

Caught on tape!

We're really counting down the days now-only 47 left til my "due" date. Drew is convinced he will come early, I'm still hoping for the 31st. No matter what, we're as ready for him as we can be. We've got all the necessities, and plenty of things we didn't really need. I'm still working on finishing up the diapers and wipes, but I've gotten a lot of really good deals online that have helped supplement the stash.
It's interesting that the baby does the opposite of what all the sites say-he moves and is awake when I'm awake and moving-not when I'm trying to sleep. He even has a favorite position for car rides-one foot wedged up in the rib cage! I think it's a foot anyway...it's impossible to tell.
I think he's been having hiccups lately too, my belly moves around a bit, and it's a pretty rhythmic feeling.
Finally, caught on tape! The baby seems to be very camera shy and would stop moving every time we tried to video it. I got him today though!
