Overalls!

We didn't think these would fit yet, they are a 4T-I think they're supposed to be shorts, but they are long pants on Zan! They fit well otherwise. What a cutie!

One eyed frog!

I found a one eyed frog today. It looks like he was born like that!
Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma Garrod, for all the fun gifts for everyone! We really loved all the piratey things!

I like pickles!

Can you believe he likes the sour taste of pickles? Sweet bananas make him shudder, apples and avocados make him gag, but he loves pickles!

My new play zone

Still needs some setting up-we're going to break the wire blocks down some so we can let him reach for his own toys without worrying he will pull the whole thing down. The tent is a collapsible one from Ikea, and we got the exersaucer at a yard sale yesterday (he's over the weight limit but he still likes the toys!)

7 months!

How old is baby? 7 months! (tomorrow)

What new things has baby been doing? He said mama last week, his first word, which was awesome. He also says "boom" when he is going to fart (I don't know if it's a coincidence, but he does it almost every time) so we call his farts "boom boom". He still is loving standing and sitting. He has rolled over a few more times, but no interest in crawling yet. He loves to pull out Daddy's chest hair as he pulls to stand up and to keep steady.

How are they eating/sleeping? We've tried a few foods, avocado, banana, celery (just long pieces to chew on, not eat) and yogurt. He hates them all, except yogurt-and the yogurt gave him the butt/ball rash from hell, so no more yogurt! Still loving his breastmilkcicles and the boob.
Sleeping is okay, still can't get many naps off me, and he sleeps from 11 or 12 at night to 7 or 8 in the morning, waking up a few times to eat.

Any Dr. Appointments since your last update and how did they go? We had his 6 month WBV and he was 28 lb 9 1/2 oz and 27 3/4". Still WAY off the chart for weight and really high for height. The ped was impressed with his sitting ability. Still not a fan of shots, though the DTaP didn't cause it's usual problems (super fussy, no sleep, crying) so I was happy.

New shoes! And a fun day

I got new shoes from Pinky and they are AWESOME! We love Robeez soft soled shoes! We went to McKee Botanical Garden today and had a great (hot!) time! Sorry some of the pics are bad, but it was so sunny I couldn't see the screen to tell if they were good or not!

Deals of the day

We rode our bikes to the library this morning, and wow, was it HOT! Zanthias actually fell asleep on the way over, too. It was the perfect day and time because they'd just put out a rack of children's books for sale, fill a bag for $2! I got 2 bags worth, and just in time, because storytime was over, and the parents fell on the rack of books. Glad I had first pick!
We got this new frame carrier today from Craigslist for longer walks. Zanthias really likes it! It has a little backpack and water holder attached to it. It was only $10 and they retail for over $100!

Bike trailer!

We were able to get a used bike trailer for cheap so Zanthias and I can go to the library and different places. We rode to Publix today (Drew pulled him) He liked it a lot! We had to buy a bike horn after I honked it in the store and Zanthias cracked up (video soon!)
