Tobey is showing a lot of improvement. Even the vet seemed surprised by how well he is doing. Zanthias still refuses to nap, but at least he is cute...until he starts screaming!

Still struggling...
Still working on those teeth. He's really liking to chew on Sophie (his teething giraffe) now. He is up and down on naps, but still refusing to go to sleep until late.
We have an appt. for Tobey tomorrow to see what's up. He has been drinking more and eating a tiny bit, so we're a little more hopeful.

The wheels on the van...
c
Tobey's not doing much better, so please keep him in your thoughts. We should know in a few days if he is going to be okay or not.
Zanthias really helps us though. He requires so much of our attention, we can't just focus on poor Tobey. He is really smiling and laughing a lot now. It's so cute. Here are some pics from our trips out recently. Don't worry, we have a car seat for him, we were eating lunch in the van and moved it. It's actually a new car seat, he grew out of the infant one (weight limit was 22 lbs) and is in a convertible seat.

Rubber ducky

Rubber ducky, I love you! You make bathtime lots of fun...well, sometimes. It has a beak that makes duck noises when you squeak it!We're going to try to take him to the doctor tomorrow to make sure he is ok with the teething and everything, because he hasn't been too happy lately.
Also, on the bad news front, Tobey has pancreatitis. Tuesday he started acting strangely, so we took him to the vet. They had us come back the next day for bloodwork and tests. He was puking, and shaking, and seemed to be in a lot of pain. Cost us a bit of money, money we don't really have, but I don't know how we could let him suffer. The bad part is, even if we had money, there is no real treatment except a special diet and exercise. He'll either get better or he won't. He does seem to be a bit better today, and is holding down his food at least. So please send good thoughs Tobey's way!

Teething terror
So poor Zanthias is teething. We had thought he might be for a while, with all the drool, and loving to chew on fingers, etc. etc. but there were no sign of any teeth. After a day and night from hell yesterday (he also got vaccines Friday, so I'm sure some of it was because of that), today there are 2 little bumps where his incisors (top) are trying to come through. It's strange because everything I read said different teeth usually come in first. The Hyland's teething tablets are really helping (we think, it's a crapshoot), and we have a Sophie the giraffe on the way (Thanks Pinky!). It's been hell, truly, the worst times of his whole life, and frustrating for us. Let's just hope they come through soon. The longer they take, the worse it is for the poor guy.
Look away if you don't want to see a hairy chest!

What a big boy!
Uncle Jeremy sent the cute treehouse outfit. Zanthias knows, too, look at the gun he's making with his hand! (Jeremy is a police officer) It's an 18-24 month shirt and it's just too long. The pants are 12-18 months and a little long. He is so huge! The Mommy's little monster shirt is a 9 month, and it fits perfectly. Keep that in mind, we've noticed that Carter's brand tends to run a bit small. The last picture is him in my favorite diaper-it's VW vans print!

Vaccination day
So today was vaccination day. Zanthias didn't like his shot, and didn't want to swallow the oral one. The oral one was rotavirus, and I think he's already had the side effect of it-he blew out of a diaper today. He's been a little fussy too. He made a 5 year old in the waiting room laugh when he pooped his pants. After that, we changed him and weighed him. 19 lbs exactly! What an enormous kid! He's also starting to enjoy bathtime a little more as you can see.
